Yes, I'm Still Here.

The reason I've put bugger all up over the past couple of weeks is because I've given my modem to a trustworthy person along with instructions not to give me it back until I present them with a hard copy of Chapter 9. Without the distraction of the internet I'm coming along in leaps and bounds, particularly so since our female lead appeared on Facebook and got my bile pumps working at full capacity once again (and also confirmed a 19 year old suspicion I had as to the fate of a certain pack of photographs that mysteriously vanished round about the same time as she and I split up)!
Anyway, it's time to go home and get back to work (I'm currently in the public library checking my e-mail).
Tatty bye for now.

"I wormed my way into the heart of the crowd..."

...last night and took some pictures of Magazine at the Manchester Academy. This has to be in my top five best gigs of all time, it really was that good!

More Dom's Dinners.

An improvised affair today consisting of a couple of chicken breasts (giggle) topped with olive butter and sundried tomatoes that I picked up for £1.70 (reduced from £3.49) off the Sainsbury's benefit buffet. This went on a bed of basmati rice along with some olive oil fried diced peppers and mushrooms.
Dom out. Post over.

A Few More Pictures For The Gallery.

Your gracious host was meaning to compose a particularly splenetic rant this afternoon but having spent a not inconsiderable amount of time boozing in the pub whilst brooding on it he got into a filthy drunken temper and has decided to hang fire until he's thinking straight. Instead we have a few more back in the day pics. Special thanks to Karen for providing this lot, as ever click on the thumbnails to see the full size versions.
Karen has recently dangled her toe in to the blogging pond and her profundities can be contemplated here.

I Also Like Magazine.

The 1978 album Real Life by the post-punk outfit Magazine is one of my all time favourites and I never get bored of listening to it. So when some guys in the pub told me that the band had temporarily reformed to play a handful of live dates, their first since 1980, I was beside myself with excitement.
So was everyone else as it happened and the tickets sold out astonishingly quickly. However, thanks to the wonders of the internet I managed to snag myself one this morning and will be tagging along to the Manchester show a fortnight hence.
Check out the above video, a song from the aforementioned classic album entitled The Light Pours Out of Me.
