A False Economy.

Yuck!

Unless you have an unwanted guest coming to dinner do not be tempted to buy any of this stuff - even if it does only cost ten pence. It tastes like slimy toothpaste and nearly ruined my Sunday dinner!

Just in case anyone's wondering...

...yes, I do hate Valentine's Day every bit as much as I hate Christmas.

Some More Musical Treats.

For the past couple of weeks I've been busying myself teaching a certain Dave Fielding, former guitarist with cult legends The Chameleons, how to use Cubase. To demonstrate the possibilites of the software I played Dave a selection of stuff I'd produced with it and he immediately started raving about how a couple of dance tracks I'd done were so good they should be given an official release. At his insistence - and even though I consider them a bit dated - I've uploaded them for your listening pleasure.
Radio Star was the first track I did using Cubase, was done purely as a learning exercise and is so unashamedly cheesy that you could bait a mouse trap with the thing.
Cakemix was done in one inspired Sunday afternoon session and uses dialogue from the classic Drugs episode of Brass Eye along with a Sisters of Mercy guitar part, the vocal break from Wildchild's Renegade Master and various other bits and bobs. The dialogue is pretty poor quality as the track was made long before the DVD of the series was available and was taken off a worn out video tape. I keep meaning to do a remix using better quality samples.
Kissed Up uses Paul Stanley's inter-song raps from the Animalyse Live video over a few keyboard riffs I'd been playing around with for a while.
And finally we have I Was Made For Loving You which is a dance remix of the titular Kiss song.
Enjoy.
